I've been an architect for over 30 years and had the opportunity to remodel an old house in Santa Monica, CA. I was at a loss for a drywall company as I am from Las Vegas. Gene's response was fast and professional. He bid the job without delay. His workmen started the following day. They followed through with 1/4 and 1/2 inch sheetrock over difficult terrain [ancient wallpaper, rough ceilings, and new construction]. The seams were perfect as was the mudding and sanding. The follow through to the completion was as error free as the finished walls and ceilings. This company, Gene and his foreman Hernan made life with the work around me a pleasure. We used ICI Drywall for a home we recently purchased in Granada Hills and they were awesome! We initially just hired them for painting but as our Reno project went on, so did the scope of their job. They ended up smoothing out ceilings (we had popcorn ceiling before), some baseboard work in the bathroom, patching up walls, and installing 6 interior doors. They did such a great job that everyone who comes and visits has commented on the paint job and how nice and modern the ceiling looks.
Gene and his team go all out and they are prompt. Communication with them was excellent and they did not leave until the job was complete (including all patch ups) and we were happy. Although they are not the cheapest (we got some lower bids) their price was worth every penny. You get what you pay for. We've seen paint jobs (from friends and family) which may have been a little cheaper, but it looked worlds apart from ICI's work!
